About this collection

Why travellers choose our pilgrimage

Nepal is a sacred crossroads of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage, from the holy Pashupatinath Temple on the Bagmati River to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. Our pilgrimage programs combine respectful guided visits, festival timing expertise, and comfortable logistics for devotees and spiritual travelers alike. Whether you seek darshan at Muktinath, circumambulation of sacred stupas, or a multi-site dharma yatra across the Terai and hills, we arrange transport, accommodation, and knowledgeable guides who understand ritual etiquette and local customs.

Yatra planning from one desk

Pilgrimage has been a core desk since 2013. Managing Director Mahesh Kumar Koirala (Dipak) still sets standards for puja timing, lodge quality near sacred sites, and the phone call before departure. We arrange private transport, suitable lodging, and guides who understand darshan flow at each temple.

Muktinath by road, flight, or helicopter; Janakpur and Janaki Temple; Pashupatinath and Guhyeshwari; Lumbini and the birthplace of Buddha. Kailash Mansarovar programmes include permit coordination and experienced high-altitude support.

Muktinath: the most requested darshan in Nepal

Muktinath Temple at 3,710 metres in the Mustang district is one of the most sacred sites for both Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal. For Hindus, it is Mukti Kshetra, the place of liberation. For Tibetan Buddhists, it is Chumig Gyatsa, the hundred springs. The temple complex holds 108 water spouts in a half-circle and a flame of natural gas burning beside water inside the main shrine.

Access options are three: a jeep road from Jomsom via Kagbeni (two to three hours from Jomsom), a shorter helicopter flight from Pokhara directly to Muktinath (approximately forty minutes), or a trek from Jomsom following part of the Annapurna Circuit trail. We quote all three options with realistic timings and cost comparisons for each group.

Senior pilgrims and families with limited mobility typically take the helicopter option, which involves no altitude gain from Pokhara and a vehicle transfer from the helipad to the temple gate. Road access via jeep is suitable for those comfortable with mountain driving; it passes through Kaligandaki gorge, one of the deepest in the world.

Lumbini, Janakpur, and the Nepal pilgrimage circuit

Lumbini in the Terai is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sacred garden marks the exact spot, with the Mayadevi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar from 249 BCE. The surrounding Lumbini Development Zone contains monastic zones from every Buddhist nation, each with a meditation monastery open to visitors. A full Lumbini day visit covers the sacred garden, one or two national monasteries, and the Tibetan monastery complex.

Janakpur in the eastern Terai is the birthplace of Sita and the site of Janaki Mandir, a white marble temple built in 1911. The city observes Bibaha Panchami, the festival of Ram and Sita's divine wedding, in November or December with five days of processions and temple ceremonies. Our pilgrimage circuits often combine Muktinath darshan in the mountains with Lumbini and Janakpur in the Terai on a single itinerary, connecting the most important Hindu and Buddhist sites in one journey.

Groups, seniors, and cross-border travellers

Family yatras from India and Bangladesh are a daily part of our work. We pre-book pure vegetarian, sattvic, or Jain meals where needed, schedule rest days for senior pilgrims, and keep emergency contacts with the Kathmandu office throughout the circuit. Our guides speak Hindi and have coordinated hundreds of Indian family groups since 2013.

Festival dates and monsoon access windows are built into every proposal. Muktinath is accessible year-round by helicopter and for most of the year by road, with December through February occasionally closing the jeep track due to snow. Tell us your dates and we respond with a named specialist within four working hours during Kathmandu daytime.
