Maldives Tour Package from Nepal — 4 Days Water Villa Honeymoon
Four days, one island, and the quietest sea in Asia. The Maldives is built for one purpose, a slow trip with someone you love or a small family who wants the same thing. From Kathmandu, the route connects through Doha, Dubai or Colombo, and the visa stamp at Male is free for a Nepali passport. The hotel speedboat or seaplane takes over from there.

Tour Overview
Why Maldives from Nepal
Maldives is the simplest premium trip a Nepali passport can take. No visa application, one connecting flight, and a resort transfer that takes over the moment you land. Where Bali asks you to plan a five-place itinerary, Maldives only asks you to choose an island. That is the entire trip. For honeymoons especially, it is the closest a Nepali traveller can get to a properly photographed bucket-list set without any of the visa stress of Europe.
Popular Maldives packages from Kathmandu
Our most-booked Maldives trip is the 4N5D Water Villa Honeymoon at a 4-star island, with overwater stay, snorkelling, and one candlelight dinner on a sandbank. The 3N4D Beach Villa Escape is the budget entry point for couples who want the experience without the water-villa premium. The 5N6D combo is for travellers who want to split between two villa types, with a seaplane upgrade for the longer aerial view.
Honeymoon island vs family island
Honeymoon islands are adults-preferred resorts with overwater villas, private pools, and quiet spa programming. We typically book Olhuveli, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, or Centara Ras Fushi for Nepali couples. Family islands have kid clubs, shallow lagoons, and connecting villas. Bandos and Velassaru are the family-friendly options, with one all-inclusive meal plan that covers the whole stay. We do not mix the two on the same trip.
Maldives visa for Nepali passport holders
Free visa on arrival for Nepali passport holders, valid for 30 days at Velana International Airport. The only paperwork is the Maldives Immigration Arrival Card, which must be filled online on the IMUGA portal within 96 hours of arrival. Carry the hotel pre-booking printout, your return ticket, and around USD 100 per day in proof of funds, which immigration occasionally checks for water-villa stays.
Best time to travel
November through April is the dry season and the best window for Maldives from Nepal. Clear water, calm seas, and consistent diving visibility. May through October is the wet season, with afternoon storms but lower rates and quieter islands. December and January are peak honeymoon months, so book at least 8 weeks ahead. We do not recommend monsoon-season speedboat transfers for senior travellers.
Packing tips for Maldives
Two swimsuits, reef-safe sunscreen, snorkelling mask if you prefer your own, light cotton clothing, and a wide-brim hat. Most resorts have a smart-casual dinner code, so one slightly dressier outfit. Power adapter for Type D and G sockets, different from Nepal. Carry USD in small bills for tips and the rare resort that prefers cash, otherwise cards work everywhere.
Frequently asked
Answers from our specialists
The things travellers ask most, answered by guides who lead these trips, not by a script.
No application needed in advance. Nepali passport holders get a free 30-day visa on arrival at Velana International Airport. Fill the Maldives Immigration Arrival Card online via the IMUGA portal within 96 hours before landing.
Budget around NPR 285,000 per couple for a 4N5D water villa honeymoon on twin sharing, including return KTM-MLE flights via Doha or Dubai, speedboat or seaplane resort transfer, overwater villa, full board meals, and one candlelight sandbank dinner. The beach villa version starts at NPR 195,000.
Yes, on the right island. We book family-friendly resorts like Bandos or Velassaru with kid clubs, shallow lagoons, and all-inclusive meal plans. Avoid adults-preferred honeymoon islands for family trips. Speedboat transfers, not seaplanes, are easier for young children.
Around 8 hours 30 minutes total with one connection. Qatar Airways via Doha is the most common routing for Nepali honeymooners, followed by Emirates via Dubai and SriLankan via Colombo. There is no direct flight.
All resorts use desalinated water and full kitchen hygiene certification. Stick to resort bottled water for drinking. Indian and continental food is standard on all-inclusive packages, with many resorts able to arrange vegetarian or Hindu-friendly meals on request.
