Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, which typically takes around 30 minutes depending on traffic. After check-in and a brief rest, the spiritual journey begins with a visit to the sacred Guhyeshwori Temple, one of the important Shakti Peethas dedicated to Goddess Parvati, located close to Pashupatinath. In the evening, you will attend the Arati ceremony at Pashupatinath Temple, a vibrant and spiritually enriching event held on the banks of the Bagmati River. The Arati starts at around 6:00 PM and lasts for about an hour. After this, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your full-day sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley begins. The first stop is Pashupatinath Temple (if not covered in detail the previous day), one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. From there, proceed to Budhanilkantha Temple, located about 30 minutes’ drive north of Kathmandu. It houses a massive reclining statue of Lord Vishnu resting on the cosmic serpent Ananta. Afterward, head east to the ancient city of Bhaktapur, which is approximately 45 minutes away. You will explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, renowned for its medieval architecture, 55-Window Palace, and Nyatapola Temple. After that, visit Doleshwor Mahadev Temple, often considered the head of Kedarnath in Nepalese tradition. This site is located about 25–30 minutes from Bhaktapur. After completing the visits, return to Kathmandu for overnight stay.

You will begin an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, covering a distance of around 200 kilometers which typically takes 7 to 8 hours by private vehicle. On the way, you will stop at Kurintar to visit the Manakamana Temple, which is reached via a scenic 10-minute cable car ride. The temple is dedicated to the wish-fulfilling goddess Bhagwati and is a popular pilgrimage destination. After darshan and some rest, continue the drive toward Pokhara, a tranquil lakeside city known for its natural beauty and Himalayan views. Upon arrival in Pokhara by late afternoon or early evening, check into your hotel and rest for the night.

Today begins with an early morning flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, which takes about 20–25 minutes. Upon landing, you will proceed towards Muktinath Temple, located at an altitude of 3,710 meters. The drive from Jomsom to Muktinath takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours each way, depending on road conditions. Muktinath is a revered site for both Hindus and Buddhists, with devotees bathing in the 108 water spouts and two sacred ponds for spiritual cleansing. After darshan and exploration, return to Jomsom for overnight stay. Due to the high altitude and thin air, it is advisable to maintain a slow pace and stay hydrated.

After breakfast, you will take a short return flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Once back in Pokhara, your sightseeing begins with a visit to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a revered cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located near Devi’s Fall, where the Pardi Khola stream disappears underground. Continue to Bindabasini Temple, one of the oldest Temple in Pokhara. In the late afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake to reach the Tal Barahi Temple, located on a small island. After that visit Pumdikot, where a towering Shiva statue offers splendid views of the Annapurna range. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

This day involves a long transfer to Janakpur, the historical and cultural heart of the Mithila region. Upon arrival and hotel check-in, if time permits, you may proceed to Gangasagar for the Ganga Arati, a spiritually vibrant ceremony held in the evening by the sacred pond. The experience is serene and culturally immersive. Overnight in Janakpur.

After breakfast, visit the majestic Janaki Temple, dedicated to Goddess Sita. This grand palace-like structure is the center of Janakpur’s spiritual and historical significance. Next, explore Bibaha Mandap, the ceremonial site believed to be where Sita and Lord Rama were married. The area is decorated with traditional Mithila art and architecture. Following the temple visits, begun your return journey to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy your final evening in the capital city. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
