Today begins with a guided exploration of four of Kathmandu’s most significant cultural and religious landmarks, all recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The first stop is Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic royal palace complex that once served as the seat of the Malla kings. Its architecture reflects centuries of craftsmanship and history. From there, you’ll travel to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the banks of the Bagmati River. The spiritual atmosphere is heightened by the sight of pilgrims and ritual cremations taking place by the riverside. Later, you’ll visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple due to the large population of monkeys that inhabit the surrounding area. Perched atop a hill, it offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.
